East of the Sun and West of the Moon (2023) is the second opera of the Bear’s Trilogy that includes Elisha and the Bears and Just Desserts. It is the longest opera in the trilogy and the central more serious work of the three. Based on traditional fairy tale of the same name, each of the scenes of the opera also references a different Norwegian folk song as the foundation of the respective scene.
