At the present time, Steve Block is working on the second operetta of the proposed "Bear Trilogy", East of the Sun, West of the Moon, with the libretto again by his wife, Stephanie Block. The operetta is based on a Scandinavian fairy tale with the "bear theme" this time taking shape in the daily transformation of the husband (under a spell) into a bear while the main protagonist, his wife, must go to battle with the Trolls in order to break the spell and win her husband back.
