At present, Steve Block is working on the third operetta of the "Bear Trilogy,"Just Desserts, in which the she-bear gourmets from the first operetta Elisha and the Bears, make their return as participants in a winner-takes-all cooking competition which sharks and vultures. The libretto by Stephanie Block is an original concept and one can read the libretto below. Several other compositions are also being written including a brief choral work, a piano trio, and a song for baritone, soprano, and piano based on a section of the Song of Songs that will complete a trio of sacred poetry settings in Hebrew, Spanish, and English.
